Move-in & move-out checklist

A simple guide to starting and ending your tenancy smoothly.

Moving in

  • First month rent and security deposit are due at lease signing.
  • Your inspection and move-in date are set when you sign the lease.
  • Put all utilities in your name a few days before you take occupancy.

Moving out

  • Give written notice of your intent to vacate, per your lease terms.
  • Return the home to rent-ready condition: floors swept, carpets shampooed and vacuumed, and the home thoroughly cleaned.
  • Handle landscaping and outdoor areas, including mowing and basic upkeep.
  • Repair any damage that happened during your tenancy.

Any fees, back rent, and repair costs are deducted from the security deposit. Please note the security deposit cannot be used to pay your final rent.
